The Occult

Warning: Some of the following images some may find disturbing, others may not, so please observe before children get access.

Abstain from all appearance of evil.
I Thessalonians 5:22

Occult, ok-kult', a. [L. occultus, pp. of occulo, I cover over - prefix ob, and root of celo, I conceal, and E. hell.]
Hidden from the eye of undesrstanding; invisible and mysterious; unkonwn. - Occult sciences, certain so-called sciences of the middle ages, as alchemy, necromancy or magic, astrology.
- Virtue's English Dictionary pp.590, 591

How do you fight a war that you can't see, taste, touch or smell but you know that there is an attack taking place, but you fail to to openly expose it for fear of being labelled as someone who is out of touch with reality. The Holy Scriptures stresses that a Christian is a soldier (II Tim. 2:3) in constant warfare (I Tim. 1:18) and that he only falls in battle when he fails to put on the spiritual armour 24/7/365 to defeat the demonic enemy combatant (Eph. 6:11-18). The darts that are being fired at such an alarming and rapid speed are invisible and what is more frustrating is that many of the fellow soldiers are giving in to the attacks of the enemy, weakening the morale of the Lord' militia.

The term psy-ops (psychological operations) is a phrase used by Western intelligence (traceable to Sun Tzu' 'Art of War') to describe a non lethal weapons system, a covert (secret) operation to subvert and indoctrinate an enemy combatant and his camp by subtly infiltrating into their camp and conveying to them ideas that are totally alien to them and articulately influencing them to embrace ideologies that are inherently antagonistic to the status quo and weaken their morale, where it will effect the emotions, motives, reasonings and behaviour of a government, a dissenting group or any individuals who may pose a threat. In psy-ops the strategies that used are distribution of pamphlets, propaganda radio stations or using loudspeakers. Can the psy-ops method also be used on Western society to de-Christianize it and restore the paganism of the pre-Christian occult world?

The method is known as 'social engineering (the analysis and automation of a society)' and one of the best minds to verify this, is a cold hearted US geopolitician, Zbigniew Brzezinski, who prophetically recorded in 1970 in his book 'Between Two Ages', how the mass media will be used to influence every aspect of our everyday lives. He is a definite insider. He knew that there would be a rise of globalisation via cable networks, the internet, Face Time, broadband wireless (WiFi, WiMAX,)  satellite and wireless (Bluetooth, wireless USB, ZigBee), social networking via MySpace, Second Life, Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Blackberry messenger, Tablet Computers (Apple I-pad, Blackberry Playbook, Android, HP Touchpad) and smartphones and that they were going to dominate the succeeding generation at the start of the 21st century, influencing how they view the world.

Zbigniew Brzezinski, Polish-American Catholic-Marxist Geopolitician, co-founder of the Trilateral Commission and father of American foreign policy in Afghanistan and Iraq.
'The post-industrial society is becoming a "technotronic" society: a society that is shaped culturally, psychologically, socially, and economically by the impact of technology and electronics - particularly in the area of computers and communications.
In the technotronic society audio-visual communications prompt more changeable, disparate views of reality ... global reality increasingly absorbs the individual ... constantly interacting, instantly sharing the most intense social experiences, and prompted to increased personal involvement in even the most distant problems.
Global telephone dialing that in the more advanced states will include instant visual contact and a global television-satellite system that will enable some states to "invade" private homes in other countries will create unprecedented global intimacy.
The United States is the principal global disseminator of the technotronic revolution. It is American society that is currently having the greatest impact on all other societies, prompting a far-reaching cumulative transformation in their outlook and mores.' (1)

The Christians of today are so immersed in the post-modern culture that to tell him or her about the dangers of occultism seems absurd in their ears. Naively believing that their secular education has enlightened their thinking far higher above the word of God, they ignore the warnings from heaven believing that they can serve two masters.

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and the table of devils.
I Corinthians 10:21

Even those who have been raised in very sheltered homes are now being exposed to all forms of subtle occultism by the power of the modern mass media which has been repackaged in an even more subtle, cryptic format, hiding its real nihilistic message and Satanic agenda. Even if they don't have a television in their house, or any of these modern gadgetries (e.g. I-pod), adults and especially their children will still be exposed via the internet, billboards, the supermarkets, or in toy or book shops and if they are not being home schooled, in the school playground.

If Christian parents are buying their children innocent looking occult literature or taking their children to watch the demonology of Philip Pullman' 'The Golden Compass', the medieval mysticism of 'The Lord of the Rings', the violent vampirism love story by the Mormon author Stephanie Meyer, in her 'Twilight Series', or the most popular children' series ever written, Harry Potter, that  promotes sorcery which includes Wiccan, Celtic, Druidic and pagan divination, as well as violence, rebellion against authority, which gets more darker and darker by each episode, delving deeper and deeper into witchcraft, then they are opening a door into the lives of their children which may have some serious spiritual  repercussions and which may not be able to be reversed.

Witchcraft is presented as cool and alluring from voodoo in 'The Princess and the Frog', conjuring demons in 'Charmed', 'The Craft' and 'The Golden Compass', pschokinesis in 'Matilda', killing God's angels by a shapeshifting witch in the video-game 'Bayonetta' and the more subtle witchcraft in 'Nanny McPhee' and 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch'.

Though we live in a period in what is termed the 'Information Age', many are still very ignorant (some by choice) and misinformed about the dangers that we will face as God' people on a daily basis, especially when the most respected voices in the Christian community sanction material that promotes the occult, so they can be respected as being 'open minded' even though Jesus said His way is narrow (Matt. 7:14).

What is very sad, quite scary and disturbing is that many Christians are totally unaware that they in a war, a supernatural conflict (Eph. 6:12) and that only by constantly surrendering your will to God by faith and spending serious quality time with the Lord in prayer can an individual have the spiritual capacity and strength to discern the difference between 'the spirit of the world' and 'the spirit which is of God' (I Cor. 2:12) and 'the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error' (I John 4:6). What is even more deep and this may deeply disturb the secular minded Christian who believe that they are broadminded and tolerant, is that God is very clear and specific, that if we watch or read material that glorifies 'unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness ... envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity,' ... that glorifies men or women that are 'haters of God (e.g. Brad Pitt in the Fight Club, Al Pacino in the Devil's Advocate), despiteful, proud, boasters, ... disobedient to parents, without natural affection' ... and 'unmerciful' (Rom. 1:29-31), we are not only giving a red light to sin, but it is like we have partaken in the very act ourselves when we 'have pleasure in them that do them' (Rom. 1:32). Without divine assistance, there is absolutely no chance a  Christian soldier can be victorious in the war that is constantly being waged by the forces of hell 24/7/365, especially when professed Christians deliberately ignore the warnings from heaven not too dabble in the supernatural world and the occult arts and even those that practice it, when Gentiles are encouraging people to dabble (e.g. Ouija boards, tarot cards, palm reading, voodoo dolls, crystals, spiritualists, etc.)

There is a new trend in the West with voodoo dolls. There is a global following of fifty million followers of the demonic practice of voodoo, the belief that spirits can help and guide you in your destiny.

Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
Leviticus 19:31

When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or hs daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consultor with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
Deuteronomy 18:9-11

And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Isaiah 8:19, 20

But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
I Corinthians 10:20

Is it so sad that Christians find it impossible to live a life without being curious like Eve and have to peep at the latest New Age/Occult flick. Many may wonder when they stop and pause, why are their churches so empty, the pews bare and why their is such a very, very low male attendance in the sanctuaries in the Western hemisphere. One of the reasons is because of COMPROMISE. When there is a denial of Biblical truths, it not only damages the effect of the Church in society but hinders people from being a part of something that does not look authentic, or different from something they already have as an article in the London journal 'The Sunday Times' exposed.

'Charles Le Gai Eaton, a former Foreign Office diplomat, author of Islam and the Destiny of Man, said: "I have received letters from people who are put off by the wishy-washy standard of contemporary Christianity and they are looking for a religion which does not compromise too much with the modern world."' (2)

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:2

Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
James 4:4

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
I John 2:15-17

In the Old Testament, the first king of Israel, before he digressed and went contrary to what he originally condemned, purged out any traces of occultism and witchcraft, for 'Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards out of the land' (I Sam. 28:3), so that God' people wouldn't get lured, tempted or have a curiosity in the demonology of the Canaanite culture, but history has shown that whenever God' people reject God' word and they don't have strong, no compromising leaders, they end up practicing the spiritual darkness of the surrounding cultures, and even becoming more pagan than them (II Chron. 33:9) instead of being a witness to them.

But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites; or the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go into them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart unto their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.
I Kings 11:1, 2, 4, 5

Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign. He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan.
II Kings 18:1, 4

Manasseh was twelve years old when e began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hephzibah. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel. For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them. And he built the altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD said, In Jerusalem will I put my name. And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
II Kings 21:1-6

The Christian attitude today to what is evil has definitely moved a long, long way from the mind set of the Early Church. When the newly converts at Ephesus heard the truth, when it was expounded to them by the apostles, they burnt and destroyed all their occult literature and paraphernalia (Acts 19:19). How would the disciples react if they were to see the church that they built up and the huge compromises it has made?

The Christians of today face a very serious challenge, especially in how they will raise the next generation of children. Though the Holy Scriptures is translated into more languages than any other book on earth and is still the highest selling book of all time, (never out of print), and missionaries are still penetrating into terrains where internet and modern day high tech telecommunications have not had access to yet, there is a huge rise and interest in witchcraft and one series of books that have turned into films, which is the most successful film franchise of all time that has created this modern demonic interest is Harry Potter.

With sales of over 100,000,000 copies, translated into more than 40 languages in 200 countries, breaking all records in children's literature, this global phenomenon is marketed by Warner Bros., Coca-Cola and Mattel, where children are being introduced and initiated into the darkest forms of black magic and the black arts, where from a vulnerable age they are introduced to spirit possession, human sacrifice, the sucking of blood of dead animals, where the first episode, not surprisingly starts off on Halloween night. How vast has the influence of this revival of occult lore reached in the most popular set of children' books ever written?

'JK Rowling ... was the first author to win the prestigious Nestle Smarties Gold Award for children' literature three years in a row (1997-1999). She was the first author to occupy the top three positions in the bestsellers lists (for the first three Potter novels) in 1999. Her fourth book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2000) was the first book to be published with a record first print run of 1 million copies for the UK and 3.8 million for the U.S. Forbes has named Rowling as the first person to become a US-dollar billionaire by writing books, the second-richest female entertainer and the 1,062nd richest person in the world. In October 2010, Rowling was crowned Most Influential Woman In Britain by leading magazine editors. And so the Potter phenomenon, coupled with the success of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy, led to glut of six-figure deals for fantasy franchises. The Harry Potter books (and Pullman's trilogy) also paved the way for the so-called "crossover" novel, a book which straddled the teenage and adult market. Possibly the most successful example - in terms of sales, anyway - of the crossover is Stephanie Meyer's  Twilight series. (3) £7billion estimated value of the Harry Potter brand, along with merchandise; £4billion - amount the films have grossed; 1.7m have viewed JK Rowling's announcement video on; 4.1m requests to in the 120 seconds after the announcement.' (4)

The conflict within the Christian community over whether 'Witchcraft' should be sanctioned by professed Children of Christ and promoted within their community, was printed in a 2003 edition of TIME magazine, where the views of different Christians were expressed about Harry Potter during the promotion of J. K. Rowling' fifth book and installment in the occult agenda 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix'.  The Church of Rome and apostate Protestants not surprisingly leant towards the occult.

While many may think that the warnings of the occult are nothing more than crazed fundamentalist Christian alarmists, this newspaper article in February 1998 documents that through entertainment, particularly through the influence of the American science fiction television series 'The X-files', it has been successful in shifting minds away from God and initiating souls into the occult.

The British newspaper the 'Daily Express' in the year 2000 documented the high interest among children in witchcraft by the Pagan Federation due to the influence of 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch', 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Harry Potter'. Is it just mild entertainment?

Despite the clear evidence that Harry Potter has sparked a deep interest in witchcraft among childen, Roman Catholic Charles J. Chaput (above), Archbishop of Denver, USA gives his Papal approval to Harry Potter. If he read his Bible, it is very clear that the only thing a Christian child should be taught from infancy are the stories of the Holy Scriptures (Ex. 12:26; Deut. 6:7; 11:19; Joshua 3:6, 7; Prov. 22:6; II Tim. 3:15).

'Jack Brock, pastor of the Christ Community Church in Alamogordo, New Mexico, made worldwide headlines for it's "holy bonfire" in December 2001, in which Harry Potter was among the books burned. The incident was taken out of context, says Brock. "The media made me look like Hitler." But that said, he still would it again. "They [the books] are totally, completely, entirely about witchcraft," he told TIME. "The next book, I understood, will be 700 pages long, and it's going to just going to be going deeper and deeper into witchcraft. Anyone who thinks that's healthy, I don't understand. God says in Deuteronomy that witchcraft is abomination. Whatever God hates, I hate."
'Conservative Christian parents have argued that the books promote witchcraft and paganism; in a Protestant parish in a German town of Munsingen, near the city of Ulm in Baden-Wurttemberg, the first Rowling novel, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, was banned from library shelves after parish council members warned that reading the book could result in "occult practices." "I think any unusual focus on things like magic and witchcraft is a bad idea," says Charles J. Chaput, Archbishop of Denver, Colorado, "but these things can also be a natural part of storytelling with children. So I think the Potter argument is really about bigger and deeper battles going on all over the culture about our character.
The Catholic News Service, run by the American bishops, puts the books on its recommended list for children.' (5)

The article also mentions that John Fleming, minister of First United Methodist in Henrietta, Texas, Scott Moore, philosophy professor of Baylor University, and Tosha Williams a Southern Baptist Sunday Teacher all sanctioned the Harry Potter series calling it nothing more than 'pure Christian allegory', comparing Harry Potter to Christ when he defeats the dragon and also using it to teach children at Sunday School. That is Neo-Gnosticism, merging the secular and the profane.

What makes the occult more alluring today, is that it is repackaged a lot differently than the witchcraft of yesterday. Witches and Warlocks are now strikingly beautiful and handsome and there is a lot more humour so you laugh of the serious nature of Satanism, but with that, children are becoming more exposed to demonology which would of been censored from them a number of years ago.

The dark demonic imagery in what is now termed family entertainment, was once only accessible in rated R (USA) or certificate 18 (UK) flicks, now they are on billboards for young children to see and it shows that the barriers between what young and old view are gradually being blurred.

The fantasy franchise blew up at the start of the new millennium. It was justified as a form of escapism, a kind of morphine to deaden the pain of reality and hide from the gloom and doom of modern warfare. After the twin tower attacks in the USA in 2001 and the geopolitical colonialist, profit-making invasions of Afghanistan (for its opium) and Iraq (for its oil) that shortly followed, book stores were engulfed with all sorts of fantasy/occult literature where minds could run away into the secret world of Shambhala (Tibetan Buddhist mysticism).
Entertainment was also churning out different forms of fantasy flicks, where even so-called Christian entertainment was introducing pagan dieties, where corporate America and religious America (Disney and Evangelicals), formed an alliance with the production of C. S. Lewis', 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' (2005) that uses the same Greco-Roman pagan nature deity as Guillermo del Torro' adult fantasy flick 'Pan's Labyrinth' (2006).

Pan, where we get the words pantheism and panic was a Greek fertility deity that was half goat and half human.

Mr. Tumnus (a faun or satyr), in 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' is depicted as Pan.

Faun is a creature that guides a young girl, Ophelia, in Pan's Labyrinth

Guillermo del Toro, a Mexican Jesuit-educated agnostic film director and screen writer (Blade II, Helboy, Hellboy II, Cronos, the Orphanage, Pan's Labyrinth) believes that because there is so much misery in the world, one of the best ways to cope is through fantasy. But when the film is over how then will you cope?
From the writings of Zbigniew Brzezinski, the technocratic revolution is going to make the world more and more interconnected via satellites through the World Wide Web, forming what the Canadian media philosopher Marshall McLuhan (1911-1980) said would be a 'global village'
As the mass media is the best way to spread an idea, to bring certain truths more home, it is vitally important to quote from reliable sources to show and prove that everything we see in advertising, marketing, on billboards and throughout the whole of the entertainment industry is all a clear and deliberate concerted effort to manipulate and  shape our thinking. It is essential that the divine mandate is followed where 'in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established' (Matt. 18:16) and the following quotes are from secular sources (excluding one), who have all verified that the 'medium is the message'. Entertainers themselves verify that New Age ideas are promoted through their art, by merging two forms of paganism, Western secular ideology and Eastern mysticism into one synthetic whole.

Raiden, the Japanese Shinto god of thunder is used in modern entertainment with the Gomorrean guard in 'Star Wars' and Thrall, the warchief of the orcs horde in the global online game 'World of Warcraft'

'The rise of the internet is altering consumption of all media. it is not just the sheer amount of available content, but also its form. It won't be long, for instance, before people will be doing much of their viewing through internet connections on television and using a search engine to find programmes.
Apart from anything else, the internet is already the top news source for under-30s. (6)
According to a recent report from Credit Suisse, the majority of 12-to-34-year olds, if given the choice, would rather never watch TV again than lose their ability to browse the internet.
The same report found that households with internet access watch four to five hours less TV a week. And the key 12-to-24-year-old group now spends more time on the internet than watching TV.
World of Warcraft, the computer game that is turning the global entertainment industry on it's head ... to become the largest grossing media product of any type in 2006.
A third of World of Warcraft's players pay $15 (£8) a month to join the virtual world of Lord of the Rings-type characters such as orcs, elves, gnomes, dwarves and humans. Comolan, a healer and magician, recently led a group of neophytes through the swamp to rescue a party of elves.
Its publisher, US-based Blizzard, which is owned by Vivendi, the French media giant, has pencilled in revenues for this year of close to $1bn (£530m).
Vivendi did a great job marketing it. Co-marketing with a brand like Coca Cola, putting Warcraft faces on city buses.
There are more than 6.5m active players of WoW across the world. The game is an example of the Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game - or MMORPG for short. These games are played in an online world populated by subscribers who battle against each other as well as the characters and monsters generated by the game itself.
Jinx, a US clothing retailer, has just launched a WoW range and a Hollywood film based on the game is being written.' (7)

(Note: The video game industry is a billion dollar industry that rakes in more sales than Hollywood films. World of Warcraft in 2006 outsold Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and also the best-selling album of all time, Thriller, by Michael Jackson. It has now 11 million players online.)

'Mussolini called the cinema his best weapon'. First, the Italian fascists, then the Nazis, and then Franco's Spain realised that the cinema was the most effective way of spreading propaganda yet invented in the 20th century.' (8)

'Organisations and individuals, from the CIA to the FBI, from V. I. Lenin to Joseph Goebells, have all expressed the view that cinema s the most important medium for transmitting political ideas. 'If I could control the medium for the American motion picture,' Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin said, 'I would need nothing else t convert the entire world to Communism.' Or, as Twentieth Century Fox founder Darryl Zanuck put it, 'If you have  something worthwhile to say, dress it up in the glittering robes of entertainment and you will find a ready market ... without entertainment, no propaganda film is worth a dime.' (9)

'There is no real Alfred Hitchcock outside his movies. For Hitchcock is not so much in his films:he is his films. For all technical explanations of what his films are and what they do come back to the same basic attitude: that film is a way of controlling people, a weapon in the battle of life. Orson Welles has called film the best toy a boy was ever given: Fellini regards it as an imaginary theatre in which the filmmaker  can act out his fantasies and give them substance.' (10)

'The television image ... has thus come to govern the senses and the conscience. The medium operates as a subtle instructor, with the complicity of the audience.
No one denies that television amplifies the process of change in fashion and ideas, sometimes sparking off political ructions while doing so.
It was television which in Britain acted as a barometer of the great attitudinal shifts of the 1960s. To use the phrase commonly employed by sociologists, television 'sets the agenda.' (11)

'To borrow Robert Cirino's phrase: "We're being more than entertained." The sociiologist Hal Himmelstein believes that through it's settings, music, words, and stories, television has become "one of our society's principal repositories of ideology." Another critic, Erik Barnouw, concludes: "Popular entertainment is basically propaganda for the status quo."
Our notion of what a politician, a detective, a corporate excecutive, a farmer, an African, or a Mexican-American is like; what rural or inner-city life should be; our anticipations about romantic experience and sexual attractiveness, crime and foreign enemies, and dictators and revolutionaries, bureaucrats and protestors, workers and Communists, are all heavily colored by our exposure to the media.' (12)

'The past quarter-century of popular culture was ruled by the great mega-franchises of science-fiction - Star Wars, Star Trek, Independence Day, The Matrix. In 2001 the fantasy double bill of Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings ranked first and second at the box office, and ... in its first weekend alone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets cleared $88 million at the U.S. box office. Harry Potter hasn't done badly at the bookstore either, having moved more than 150 million copies worldwide so far, while Tolkiens works sold 11 million copies in the US alone. The online fantasy game EverQuest pulls in more than $5 million a month from its half a million subscribers, and the fantasy card game Magic: The Gathering boasts 7 million players. The business of fantasy has become a multibillion-dollar reality, and science fiction is starting to feel a little 20th century.
In 1997, voters in a BBC poll named The Lord of the Rings the greatest book of the 20th century. In 1999, customers chose it as the greatest book of the millennium.
Disney reportedly paid nearly $8 million for the film, theme-park and multimedia rights to Clive Barker's fantasy novel Abarat.
The question is, Are we running away from reality when we indulge in fantasy? (13)

'Hong Kong film-makers have been welcomed in Hollywood for their vicious skills honed in the pain-loving Orient. Thus kung fu, the art of using every body surface as an assault weapon, has invaded movies such as Face/Off and even Lethal Weapon 4. Harnessing the East's codified killing tactics to the West's destructive sprees leaves no room for any moral consensus.' (14)

George Lucas, American film producer, screenwriter and director
'George Lucas was born in Modesto, California, in 1944. He was particularly fascinated with indigenous folktales and their cultural context. While working on a college project, Lucas discovered a book with a "wonderful life force"; Joseph Campbell's The Hero with a Thousand Faces, which examined some of the universal themes of myhs and fairy tales from a variety of ages and cultures. This discovery began a lifelong interest in mythology for Lucas.
The clear distinction between good and evil has its roots in Zoroastrian belief.
The Jedi approach to the Force incorporates many concepts from Eastern philosophy, while remaining true to a classic Western value: the importance of the individual.
As Yoda expresses it, the Force is to be used only for "knowledge and defense", rather than aggression. It provides the ability to foresee certain events and to move external objects with the power of the mind alone. Some elements of the Force are reminiscent of Zen Buddhism, with its emphasis on enlightenment by means of direct, intuitive insights.' (15)

Lawrence Fishburne played Morpheus in the Matrix trilogy

METRO: Why were the Matrix films so successful and popular?

Lawrence Fishburne: It wasn't just action, you know. The films were different because the whole digital thing, computers and the internet and all of that, had become a part of people's lives in a real way. And the use of mythology was great, the way in which they reached back to the Greeks and into Eastern philosophy and Eastern religious belief. (16)

'On Mar Hills the Apostle Paul faced the Epicureans and the Stoics (Acts 17:18). The Epicureans were the atheists of the day and the Stoics were the pantheists. Today Christianity again stands between the materialist and the mystic. Present-day "Epicureans" are secular humanists, and contemporary "Stoics" are proponents of what has come to be known as the New Age movement.
Western Society is experiencing an ideological shift from an atheistic to pantheistic orientation. The basic difference between these two views is that atheists claim there is no God at all, but pantheists say God is all and all is God. Atheistic materialists believe all is matter, but mystics hold that all is mind.
The shift from secular humanism to the New Age pantheism has occurred gradually over the past few decades. It has been a relatively smooth transition because of the commonalities of these two world views.
Various terms have been used to describe the rise of pantheistic thought in the West. It has been called the Aquarian Conspiracy, New Consciousness, New Orientalism, Cosmic Humanism, Cosmic Consciousness, Mystical Humanism, Human Potential movement, and Holistic Health movement. But the umbrellalike term that encompasses them all is the New Age movement.
New Age thought has no place for sin. Man is basically good. "Evil" is not moral guilt but spiritual imbalance.
Since there is no sin (such as breaking of moral law), there is no need for a payment of sin. Thus New Agers do not believe Christ died for man's sins.' (17)

Psychokinesis is a practice of moving objects which many believe is accomplished through the power of thought. It is promoted through films Star Wars, The Matrix as well as Carrie (1976), X-Men, and Phenomenon

The occult agenda knows that it can't just outright bulldoze Christianity, for it knows that many will stand against it, to oppose it, knowing its Satanic agenda, so it has to camouflage itself in Christian rhetoric in order to capture the Christian mind by using a language that Christians can identify with and then deceiving them into believing that it is promoting Christ. The Matrix was successful in that it used words and phrases like 'ZION' and 'Lord and Saviour' and Christians were hooked. The New Age uses phrases like your 'Christ consciousness' that will deceive a Christian who is not on their guard. One of the pioneers in this area was English theosophist and occultist writer Alice Bailey.

Alice Bailey (1880-1949), English occultist, founder of Lucis Trust
"It can be expected that the Orthodox Christian which occultism presents; at the same time, this same orthodox Christian will find it increasingly difficullt to induce the intelligent masses of people to accept the impossible Deity and the feeble Christ which historical Christianity has endorsed. A Christ who is present and living, Who is known to those who follow Him, Who is strong and able executive and not a sweet sentimental sufferer, Who has never left us but Who has worked for two thousand years through the medium of His disciples, the inspired men and women of all faiths, all religions and all religious persuasions; Who has no use for fanaticism or hysterical devotion but Who loves all men persistently, intelligently and optimistically, Who sees divinity in them all." Oprah Winfrey, one the most influential TV personalities on earth

Oprah Winfrey who professes to be a Christian, but is really a pagan under a Christian mask, is one of the chief catalysts to promote the neo-Gnostic Christ Consciousness pantheistic ideas, which is the agenda of occultist Alice Bailey. What is quite scary is that Oprah' influence is absolutely huge where she is described as 'the most powerful woman in the media universe'. (19) She is a billionaire, ranked as the richest African-American in the 20th century where she used her celebrity status to catapult Barak Hussein Obama in the White House by bankrolling his election and using her show as a spring board during the 2008 US Presidential elections, as well as well as helping others to promote their careers. Just exactly how vast has her influence stretched to? FORTUNE, the magazine praising the rich elite, documented in October 2010 her global mass appeal.

'She's done The Oprah Winfrey Show for a quarter-century ... her net worth, now an estimated $3 billion.
There has never been anyone in media like Oprah. Part Johnny Carson, part Rupert Murdoch, part Anna Wintour, she is a TV legend, media mogul (no. 6 on our Most Powerful Women list), and tastemaster all rolled into one. The Oprah Winfrey Show, which she owns and which is seen in 146 countries, is the most powerful daytime program in TV history, with 12.6 million viewers at its peak. It's the place where Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerburg announced he would donate $100 million to improve education in New Jersey; the same week, Bill Gates riffed about reforming education nationally. A mere mention on Oprah's show can catapult a book or hand cream or cupcake to bestseller status.' (20)

With such gargantum stature, what are her belief systems geared around and being a so-called professed Christian, why does she have a spiritual guru, German-born Canadian, Echart Tolle, who promotes nothing more than unoriginal plagiarized New Age hopelessness on her shows? If you watch her over the years, she stealthily incorporates the Alice A. Bailey Cosmic Humanism worldview and tries to relegate Christ in the background while professing to be a Christian.

What is the difference between Oprah' Christ Consciousness and Yoda instruction to Luke about the 'force'? They both teach pantheistic occultic humanism.

Oprah actually confesses who are her greatest influences that have influenced her post-modern agnostic pantheistic worldview in her magazine 'O'.

'Spirituality isn't something I believe in. It is what and who I am: a spiritual being having a human experience, as the French philosopher and priest Pierre Tielhard de Chardin profoundly said.
It's why I chose A New Earth, by Eckhart Tolle, as a book club selection.' (21)

In the film 'Beloved' (1998), produced by Oprah' Harpo Productions, it is an adaptation of the novel by Toni Morrison. Oprah Winfrey stars alongside Danny Glover and Thandie Newton where the film promotes communication with the dead.

French paleontologist and Roman Catholic Jesuit priest Pierre Tierre Tielhard de Chardin (1881-1955) is the most sought after writer in occult circles according to a 1980 book 'The Aquarian Conspiracy' and his quasi-religious panthestic views has inspired Oprah Winfrey

Eckhart Tolle is Oprah Winfrey' spiritual guru

Canadian-American actor Jim Carrey is inspired by the teachings of Eckhart Tolle and when he introduces him, he ridiculously misquotes Jesus in Luke 17:21 to endorse Eckhart Tolle' pantheistic ideas.

Oprah Winfrey is not alone, she is one of many top celebrities that have embraced the New Age/Occult agenda to de-Christianize the Western world and paganise people' thinking.
There are a number of New Age fads that are luring influential entertainment icons and with such a mass following on their twitter pages they can influence the behavioural patterns of millions of devoted fans.

The Kabbalah:

Abraham ben Samuel Abulafia (1240 - c.1291), was a Spanish Jew who founded the prophetic school of Medieval Kabbalistic teachings

The Kabbalah is pagan medieval belief that is an amalgamation of Jewish mysticism and Babylonian science. It was once a practice relegated to individuals in occult and Masonic circles, but this pagan revival has now become a New Age fad that is growing in popularity and attracts many of the rich and famous. What does it teach? Two get a fair balance we will look at it from a Christian and secular perspective.

Manley P. Hall (1901-1990), Canadian esoteric scholar and 33° Freemason
'The theories of Qabbalism are inextricably interwoven with the tenets of alchemy, Hermeticism, Rosicrucianism, and Freemasonry. The words Qabbalism and Hermeticism are considered synonymous terms covering all arcana and esotericism antiquity. Albert Pike quoting from Transcendental Magic sums up the importance of Qabbalism as a key to Masonic esotericism.' (22)

Edith Starr Miller, Lady Queensborough (1887-1933), New York socialist
'The Cabala is Occult science itself. It is the secret theology of the initiates, theology essential Satanic. In a word the counter-theology. Our God, the God of the Christians, is the power of evil in the eyes of the Cabalists; and for them the power of good, the real God is Lucifer.
"The Cabala teaches magic or the art of intercourse with spirits and supernatural beings.
"One cannot be a convinced Cabalist without soon becoming a magician and devoting oneself to the practice of occultism.
"Not that our Cabalists or contemporary magicians practice all the different branches of occultism. Some of these have been abandoned and others are only used by charlatans for the exploitation of superstitious persons, but a great many, precisely the most criminal and perverse, are observed in the hidden dens of our modern Luciferians.' (23)

'In 1969, a former insurance salesman, Rabbi Philip Berg, established the Kabbalah Centre International and appointed himself its leader. The centre markets Kabbalah as "universal system for self-improvement" and attracts more than 3.5 million followers.
The Kabbalah Centre sells copies of its sacred texts and their "spiritual tools," such as Kabbal Water. AMong the best-selling items is the red string bracelet, said to protect the wearer from the veil eye. The Beckhams, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Demi Moore and Madonna have all been wearing one. (24)
Students of Kabbalah include Sir Elton John, Sir Mick Jagger, Demi Moore, Jeff Goldblum, Naomi Campbell and Elizabeth Taylor. (25)
The fashion designer Donna Karan is big on astrology, spirituality and being put on the planet to 'show we are all one'. She connects with her friends Demi Moore and Ashton Kircher, who inspired her begin to studying the Kabbalah.' (26)

Albert Pike (1809-1891), Confederate soldier during the US civil war (1861-1865),  Sovereign Grand Commander of Scottish Rite Freemasonry said that Freemasonic thought is Kabbalistic.

Madonna is the most famous icon for the esoteric teachings of the Kabbalah

The red bracelet that Kabbalists and even non-Kabbalists wear for protection. That is Babylonian superstition. The Chaldens used to wear cylinder seals as protection from evil.

Lafayette Ronald Hubbbard (1911-1986) founded Scientology

Another New Age fad, which most class as a controlling cult is the Church of Scientology. It was founded by a US science-fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard, who was inspired by Aleister Crowley. It attracts a high number of celebrities that includes actor Tom Cruise, his actress wife Katie Holmes, actor John Travolta and his wife, actress Kirsty Allen, actress and musician Juliette Lewis, actress Leah Marie Remini, actress Katherine Lisa Bell, actor Jason Lee, singer and songwriter Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of the late Elvis Presley and the late singer Isaac Hayes (1942-2008). The London Independent summed up its strange ideas.

'Scientology, officially accepted as a religion in the United States ... was founded in 1952 by a former science fiction writer, L. Ron Hubbard. Although the complete teachings of Scientology are available only to senior adepts, the core of its beliefs is that all humans are immortal beings who have strayed from their true nature. Human souls or "thetans" can be reincarnated. Many have already lived on other planets in the universe. Its approach would, the cult argues, lead to a world without crime and war.' (27)

Tom Cruise is the most outspoken and defender of Scientology teachings

John Travolta tried and failed to promote the teachings of Scientology with his film Battlefield Earth (2000). It totally flopped at the box office.

Will Smith and his wife have not openly claimed to be Scientologists, but he has donated thousands to its cause and also incorporates its teachings in his school, he and his wife set up.

'Smith has taken more knocks than usual, primarily for his ties to Cruise and speculation that he has converted to Scientology.
But Smith, who was raised Baptist and says he remains Christian (he co-founded the non-denominational Christian Church Living Waters in San Fernando), takes such gossip about as seriously as he does marauding space creatures. (28)
Trying to best educate their children may be why the Smiths have been linked to the controversial Church of Scientology. Jada acknowledges that New Village's philosophy is based on educational principles developed by science-fiction writer and creator of the Church of Scientology L. Ron Hubbard, as are Delphi's. Nevertheless, the Smiths and the Head of School, Jacqeline Olivier, Ed.D,  maintain that the school is purely secular.' (29)

Clarence 13X, born Clarence Jowers Smith (1928-1968), was a former member of the Nation of Islam (NOI), but he broke away to form the 5%ers

'The NATIONS of GODS AND EARTHS first evolved from the teachings of Clarence 13X. Clarence 13X took the religion out of Islam and taught an acronym/ He taught that Islam meant "I-SELF-LORD-AND-MASTER." He taught not to have a belief in an invisible God, but to believe in yourself. He taught not to look for magical help, but to help yourself.
People need no middleman for spirituality, the creative energy presented everywhere in the universe can be reached on an individual basis.
The Black Man is represented by the Mathematical Seven because Seven represents the seven chakras that the Buddhists, and other Asian enlightened minds, use to describe the seven energy levels of man, from his lower region to his supreme crown.
The influence of the Five Percent lessons can be heard in the music of some of today's most popular recording artists. Groups like brand Nubian, Wu-Tang Clan, Poor Righteous Teachers, Digable Planets and The Roots, also Rakim, Busta Rhymes, Common, Guru, Pete Rock and C.L.Smooth. Others such as Erykah Badhu, Lauryn Hill, Nas, A.Z., and Queen Latifah have had some Five Perecent influences. (30)
Clarence 13X told his young disciples, You are gods.' (31)

On the surface these mystical, secular unrepentant New Age fads look quite different, but in reality, to sum up the Masonic esoteric teachings of the Kabbalah, the self-salvation humanism of Scientology, the so-called black consciousness of The Nations of Gods and Earths (5%ers) and the Oprah Winfrey New Age deceptions of Christ consciousness, they all teach the same self worship that can be traced to what the father of lies (John 8:44) first told to Eve in the garden of Eden, 'Ye shall not surely die ... ye shall be as gods' (Gen. 3:4. 5). At least the rock musician Robert Warner, better known as Mariyn Manson is the most honest and bold. He sees Satan as a misunderstood fallen hero and as he feels he can identify with him, he says:

"Satanism is about worshipping yourself." (32)

Gary H. Kah, a former high-ranking government liaison, who was the Europe and Middle East trade specialist for the state of Indiana (USA), did some extensive researcher into the spiritual roots of the New World Order and he knew that there would be a modern pantheistic humanist revival which will eventually lead to a deceptive lure of the 'worshipping of angels' (Col. 2:18). The interlinking of the world in seconds through the click of a button via the web and the entertainment industry with its constant drive of celebrity worship is preparing minds for the last great battle to confront this earth. Gary H. Kah documents how Satan and fallen angels are masquerading themselves to different people, 'as an angel of light' (II Cor. 11:14) in his book 'En Route to Global Occupation'.

'The religion of the New Age, simply put, is pantheism - the belief that God is the sum total of all that exists. According to pantheists, there is no personal God, instead their concept of God consists of what they refer to as a god-force (or life-force). They teach that this energy, or god-force, flows through all living things - plants, animals - and human beings. Since this god-force flows through all of us, they nationalize, we must therefore be gods or, at least, part of God.
Pantheistic also teaches that we will never die, and therefore, we must face no personal judgement by God. We must keep coming back in different life forms (reincarnation) - an acceptable concept to pantheists since they believe that we are all "one with nature" anyway.
Some people, who are regularly put themselves into trances may eventually be directly approached by spirit beings during their trance. Some theologians believe that these spirits, which are actually demons, can take on any form they choose, depending on what that particular person believes. For example, a New Ager who has embraced pantheism along with its inherent belief in reincarnation, may, while in a trance, encounter a spirit which approaches under the guise of being a more highly evolved being. This being, or "ascended master," has gone through several incarnations, and is allegedly therefore able to communicate in ways that less evolved humans cannot.
Those in the fields of philosophy and psychology who have delved into the occult, such as Carl Jung, have had similar experiences - only they refer to these beings are archetypal images or "Ideal Forms." Strict humanists, on the other hand, who do not believe in the existence of a spirit realm, are more commonly approached by beings posing as extraterrestrials who claim that they are higher forms of life from other worlds and are able to communicate in ways that humans have not yet discovered.' (33)

Grant Morris, a Scottish comic book writer (The Invisibes, New X-Men, Batman, Fantastic Four, All-Star Superman) in an interview in London' METRO encourages people to commune with fallen angels which he deceptively believes are aliens.

METRO: You say other dimensional aliens visited you when you were in Kathmandu - did it really happen?

Grant Morrison: It actually happened. It changed my life and it can happen to anyone. I'm skeptical but I started doing magic and occult stuff, and found it actually works - go out and do it yourself and you'll see. The current scientific view is that these kind of experiences are caused by temporal lobe seizures in the brain, which is more exciting. Rather than being visited by angels, if we press a part of our brain that causes religious visions, shouldn't we be doing it every day? (34)

Edward Alexander ("Aleister") Crowley (1875-1947)

Aleister Crowley was titled in his day 'the most wickedest man in the world'. He was a Cambridge graduate born into a wealthy upper class family and raised in the strict Christian sect, the Plymouth Brethren, where he later rebelled after his father' death and turned into a bisexual, occultist, astrologer, mystic, heroin addict and self-professed Satanist who titled himself the 'Great Beast 666' of Revelation (at title given to him by his mother. He has had one of the greatest impacts on the rebellion of youth culture since the 1960s, appearing on 'The Beatles' Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band (1967) album as well as inspiring many other rock artists (Ozzy Osborne, Jim Morrison).  He drew an image of a fallen angel called 'Lam' that manifested itself to him in 1918, that has become the standard image of people who have claimed they have seen aliens, which is nothing more than fallen angels deceiving people. Lam is distinguished by his human-like features with elongated head, usually oval eyes and its lizard like nostrils.

Area 51 is a video game released in 2005 that depicts LAM.

Aliens in the Attic (2009) is a science-fiction comedy with the aliens depicted with the feature' of Crowley' LAM.

Fr. José Gabriel Funes, Argentine Jesuit astronomer and head of the Vatican Observatory encourages people if they see images of LAM, then welcome them as brothers.

The Holy Scriptures says that Satan will deceive the whole world (Rev. 12:9) and God Said He will allow man to be deceived if he rejects the word of God (II Thess. 2:11, 12). How are we going to avoid the many deceptions that are here and that are going to come?

In ancient Israel there was an individual who had one of the greatest responsibilities in the whole
kingdom. He stood on a very high tower so that he could see anything that was coming from afar, so he could 'blow an alarm with the trumpets' (Num. 10:9), to protect the internal as well as the external security of the kingdom. He was called the 'watchman' and he had to be alert, observant, witty, sharp and never, ever fall asleep in this very important role, for the aim of his job was to warn his people of the dangers that were going to threaten the freedom of God' people. If he saw danger coming and warned the people and they did not take heed to the warning, then they would be overtaken by the enemy and it would be their own loss if they were not armed, then captured, enslaved and even killed, but if the 'watchman' saw the danger of war and did not warn the people and they were attacked by the enemy, then their blood was on his shoulders (Ezekiel 33:1-19).
Very few men and women are standing for truth nowadays, for fear of being labelled a killjoy, alarmist, Puritan, fanatic or extremist, so they keep quiet and allow things to happen when they can clearly see people around them are spiritually dying. It is not always easy to stand for HOLINESS, for it can be quite draining and frustrating as the prophet Jeremiah experienced but somebody needs to stand. The watchmen aren't blowing the trumpets anymore, no more thorough straight undiluted  preaching, where they 'spare not' (Isa. 59:2), instead they are preaching sweet, watered down post-modern sermons which does nothing to agitate the soul, where one feels absolutely no need for any repentance.

Many are aware that there is going to be a NEW WORLD ORDER, a global religion which the Holy Scriptures calls the Mark of the beast, where one' race, economic position or social status will not be able to save them from this demonic, globalist, fascist, totalitarian dictatorship (Rev. 13:16).

We are prophetically forewarned that the whole world will be split into two clear and distinct camps: those that 'worship' God (Rev. 14:7) that will be very few in number, that follow the 'narrow way' (Matt. 7:14) and will not conform (Rev. 14:12) and those that follow the broad way (Matt. 7:13)  and worship 'the dragon' (Rev. 13:4), who is Satan (Rev. 12:9) and his earthly system that is prophetically called a 'beast' (Rev. 14:9).
Many people are quite aware that freedoms are slowly and stealthily being robbed from each nation state with the increase in CCTV cameras, police given a lot more powers, the monitoring of what is viewed on the web, on cable networks, where we travel, where  the word 'terrorist' changes its meaning whenever it suits governments best, but while many can see the agenda taking place on a political/economic level, they fail to see the dumbing down of the senses through the different forms of entertainment which is  a major distraction to reality. Many find it very difficult to live life without it and though it is not all evil, most of what is enforced upon us is very rebellious.
It has been documented in this study that occultic entertainment via the X-Files, Harry Potter, etc. has led to a very carefully orchestrated cultural shift, with more and more people not looking to God for their happiness and freedom but to the occult, where secularism, Hegelianism, relativism, Kabbalism and humanism and the hundreds of different 'isms' names whose roots can all be traced to the father of lies (John 8:44)  is successfully training the mind for the battle of the great day of God Almighty.

The Holy Scriptures warns us of the last intense battle on earth, where the governments of the world will all unite (Rev. 17:12, 13) into one body and will be led by 'the spirits of devils', that will 'go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world to gather them to the battle of the great day of God Almighty (Rev. 16:14) to make one last major assault against Christ' church on earth, where unbeknownst to them, they will be utterly defeated (Rev. 19:11-16). The world is slowly and gradually being trained and prepared for that time (unbeknownst to them), which is in the not too distant future, but Christ' church needs to be prepared  also and Christ is only coming for people who are ready. Pray that you are not lost.

For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
