Christian Von Wernich, an Argentine Roman Catholic priest, and former chaplain to the Buenos Aires police force during the 1976-1983 military dictatorship, known as the "Dirty War", was jailed for life on 9th October 2007 for his involvement in seven murders, 42 abductions and 31 cases of torture. He is still allowed to perform Mass as an ordained priest inside of prison which shows the Papacy has not relinquished him of his priestly credentials.
Little known to the public is the Papacy’ involvement in the 1956 Hungarian Revolution whose failed hero was Cardinal Mindszenty; the Solidarity movement in Poland; the creation, training and arming of Mujahadeen Muslim guerrillas in 1979/80 by Polish-American and devout Catholic Zbigniew Brzezinski, who were trained by Knight of Malta and head of the CIA William Casey and fellow Catholic Milton Beardon, who was the Station Chief in Islamabad; Catholic priests in Ireland also colluded with the political paramilitary Sinn Fein/IRA from its inception and she is also responsible for the ethnic strife in the Balkans where she supported and backed Croatia and Slovenia to secede from Yugoslavia in 1991 causing devastation, carnage, collateral damage and skilfully manipulating the Western media to blame the Serbs.
One of the most horrific scenes to hit the 20th century was the genocide in 1994 in the Bantu-speaking country of Rwanda, a former German, then Belgium then Francophone colony. It may sometimes take many years, or even after a long while after the perpetrators are dead, for information to be revealed to the public of the true motives of a war, but the 10 year anniversary of that war and its post-mortem research, where books, journals and newspaper reports not only looked at the devastation and the still remaining deep psychological scars, but what actually triggered a people to savagely turn on their own family and neighbours and hack them to death. By far the best book in English that documents that horrific episode is the Rwanda Crisis by Gerard Prunier, but in 2004 a journalist in the London Evening Standard recorded the deliberate stone cold stance governments took at that war.

Where history gets distorted is when Hollywood gets its hands on a story and fabricates an historical event through celluloid. Though it has been confirmed that France supplied the machetes for the Hutu Interahamwe killers, not so known is that ‘After Belgium’s withdrawal in 1962, there was a slow but steady incorporation of Rwanda into la Francophonie, where French papers are available on the day they are printed. France has continued to support dictators and regimes whose murderous policies towards their own people have been well documented.’ (2) Though TIME magazine clearly reported that ‘the Roman Catholic Church in Rwanda has been shamed by incidents of priests and nuns leading massacres’, (3) the actor Don Cheadle in his film Hotel Rwanda (2004), which does gives a fairly accurate historical account of the conflict, shows the priests and nuns as one of the top humanitarians in the film, which is a total lie. What saith the evidence?
A Belgian priest accused of aiding genocide will be extradited to face trial in his homeland. Father Guy Theunis is accused of reprinting articles from a Hutu tribal magazine which encouraged the killing of rival Tutsis. The 60-year-old, who worked as a missionary in Rwanda from 1970 to 1994, denies the charges. Leading members of the Catholic Church helped Hutu militias in the run-up to the killings. More than 800,000 Tutsis were murdered in the 1994 genocide, including thousands who sought sanctuary in churches. (4)

We acknowledge that there are many organisations that play different roles in creating change in the world who are planning on making the earth into one synthetic whole, such as the New Age Movement, the Bilderbergs, Freemasonry, Skull and Bones, Tavistock Institute, The Council on Foreign Relations, Royal Institute of International Affairs, Trilateral Commission, etc., but no matter how different they may be on the surface, men and women of these different organisations will work with the Papacy to achieve the same objective as the pseudo-Christian occultist Alice Bailey (1880-1949) confirmed.

How much is the Papacy really worth? This question was once posed to a Vatican official who responded with the words, “Only God knows”. Can you imagine an institution so mega-mega-mega rich, that not even they can’t calculate how much they are worth. When Forbes magazine compiles its usual rich lists of the wealthiest individuals and corporations on the earth, the figures of how much individuals earn are shocking in comparison to the constant rapid increase of poverty worldwide. In March 2010 it was confirmed that ‘A Mexican telecoms tycoon has been named the richest person on the planet – the first time in 16 years a non-American has topped the list. Carlos Slim Helu controls a string of companies and is worth £35.7billion. He beat Microsoft boss Bill Gates and investor Warren Buffett in the 24th Forbes Rich List.’ (7) Why didn’t Forbes Rich list mention the Pope and his megalomania institution? Whenever the College of Cardinals in the Sistine Chapel selects a Pope, when that smoke starts to burn, the next Pope becomes the CEO of the richest financial entity in human existence and automatically inherits a mass amount of wealth. His hierarchal team of robed autocrats counsels their team of legal advisors to stick by a strict code of silence, to not share with outsiders their economic figures, for they know that it would cause disastrous shockwaves throughout the modern world. When a secular journalist was researching the wealth of the Papacy, he carefully assessed how it had accumulated its wealth over the years, from its early embryonic beginnings to the space age. It had gobbled up most of the land space of Western Europe, claiming to be the inheritor of the Roman Empire; it had introduced pilgrimages, the first act of tourism; St. Peter’s Pence and taxes was demanded from every country, draining these countries internal revenues; it introduced the socio-economic slave labour called serfdom, where most of Western Europe was feudal and most of the lords were of the Papal hierarchy and it manipulated the masses with the greatest religious con ever known to mankind – indulgences, a scaremongering tactic of the Papacy, where men and women would pay to buy there souls out of purgatory. This secular journalist did a comparison with Jesus Christ and the wealth of the Papacy and he saw the huge gulf between the simplicity of Jesus and his humble and meek followers in the early church, to the priceless riches of the Catholic Church.
Jesus, the founder of Christianity, was the poorest of the poor. Roman Catholicism, which claims to be His church, is the richest of the rich. Indeed, the wealthiest institution on earth. Christ was born, lived and died in poverty. His “church” is a multi-, multi-, multi-billion concern. How come that although she claims be preoccupied with the riches of heaven, she is in reality one of the most formidable accumulators of the riches of the earth? How come, that such an institution, ruling in the name of this same itinerant preacher, whose want was such that he had not even a pillow on which to rest his head, is now so top-heavy with riches that she can rival – indeed, that she can put to shame – the combined might of the redoubtable financial trusts, of the most potent industrial super-giants, and of the most prosperous global corporations of the world? What is more startling, is that even though this investigative journalist unmasked her economic revenue and even though the Papacy is adamant that she will not show the outside world her economic surplus, she doesn’t hide the fact that she does business with the top financial institutions on earth, where ‘the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies’ and she openly tells the world in her publications, not hiding a thing. An American Jesuit priest Thomas J. Reece, in his 1996 book Inside the Vatican gives a good insight into his Church’ wealth.
The Lateran Treaty
The Lateran Treaty is a Concordat between the Kingdom of Italy and the Holy See that was signed on February 11, 1929 by Benito Mussolini (1883-1945), Prime Minister of Italy and Cardinal Pietro Gasparri (1852-1934), Secretary of State for the Vatican on behalf of Pope Pius XI (1857-1939). It catapulted the Papacy into the economic markets of the modern world where Mussolini gave the Papacy one billion lire's worth of state bonds and seven hundred fifty millions in cash, or at that time what was the American equivalent of about $150,000,000. It consisted of (1) The Lateran Pact, which provided for the creation of the 108.7 acre Vatican City that gave the Vatican its own army, police, newspaper and radio station, (2) The Financial Convention, which granted payments to the Church for the economic loss of the Papal States that was incorporated into the Kingdom of Italy in 1870 and (3) The Concordat that allowed the Holy See special privileges which included exemption of tax for the clergy.

The book sold over 5,000,000 copies and has been at the top of the bestseller lists all over the world. It introduced to the world the dark side of the Papacy nobody knew about, as the Vatican is impeccably secretive. It collated evidence to prove that Pope John Paul I, who lasted for 33 days, was murdered after he attempted, tried and failed to clean up and reform centuries of corruption within the Papacy. It also showed and proved that the Papacy was heavily involved in and does business with many major financial institutions (The Rothschilds since the 19th century, Chase Manhattan, Continental Bank of Illinois, General Motors, Shell, Gulf Oil, General Electric, IBM, etc.), when it incorporated the financial wizard Bernadino Nogaro (1870-1958) to manage its finances, where he created Vatican Incorporated. Its financial corruption made it liaise with the CIA and the Sicilian Mafia, where the Vatican closed a blind eye to its smuggling and dealing of heroin, cocaine and marijuana. The Papacy silenced anyone who attempted to expose or investigate her financial corruption which included journalists, magistrates, Italian banker Roberto Calvi and the Vatican’ own financial advisor Michelle Sindona (1920-1986), who was poisoned in prison when he was about to expose the Papacy’ heavy involvement in financial corruption.
What was most interesting about the book, is that it verifies and confirms not only what Jesus said in Rev. 18 of its moral decline that has led it to ‘become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird,’ but because it has desecrated and misrepresented God’ His holy name.

Allowing for inflation, Catholic figures may well have reached $200 billion by 1986, certainly a cut above the $63 billion held by Exxon, the country’s largest industrial corporation. (19)

An Irishman reacts angrily of the Catholic Church and the Irish State' cover up of years of sexual abuse
While the Papacy openly speaks out against sodomy (homosexuality), sexual abuse, child pornography and all different types of sexual acts she has the biggest sexual problem than any other religious or secular institution on earth
The Papacy has never been able to deal with sexuality. In 1996, St. Louis University, a catholic seminary in the US, did a survey and discovered that 40% of nuns in North America suffered some form of physical sexual abuse by priests. The paedophile scandal that rocked the church in the opening of the 21st century has shown what has gone on behind the scenes for years that has been protected by the hierarchy of the church. If celibacy is enforced upon nuns and upon the male religious hierarchy, which is contrary to the Holy Scriptures (I Tim. 3:1-13; I Cor. 7:1-9), then those who are struggling with sexual desires are going to suffer internally and unfortunately their outlet has been imposed upon innocent, vulnerable children. A large number of these victims have committed suicide, for they have not been unable to cope with their childhood innocence being robbed from them and no one hearing their cry for help. In the U.S. alone, the Papacy forked out over $1 billion dollars in compensation money to the victims of sexual abuse. These acts of sexual abuse are not new. A controversial 19th century Protestant minister and former Roman Catholic priest Charles Chiniquy (1809-1899), exposed the secret sexual liaison of priests and women in a book called The Priest, the Woman and the Confessional and shows the physical and spiritual abuse that takes place when an individual’ internal secrets are handed over to the disgusting, warped, sexually deprived mind of a mortal priest, where ‘their conscience is seared with a hot iron’ (I Tim. 4:2). In more recent times, many confessions of victims who have now had the opportunity to release their decades of suppressed pain have shown the depth and darkness this system will go to.
In the 1940’s, Catholic orphanages in Canada were run by an order known as the Gray Nuns where a high number of children were housed and put into the care of these nuns. The accounts given by these victims are absolutely horrific.
According to the report, the orphanages had held “dark secrets:” the basement of St. Julienne was the site of a children’s dungeon, complete with torture chamber; normal children at St. John of God were identified as retarded and treated with drugs and electric shock therapy; at a third facility, there was a kind of sexual playground where priests and monitors raped and molested young boys, or so was claimed. In recent years, victims from small towns across the province have begun to make allegations against the nuns, doctors and lay workers who ran the facilities, charges ranging from sexual abuse to murder. In late 2009, the most Catholic nation on earth, Ireland, became the last region on earth that dealt with sexual abuse. This clearly shows that the Papacy does not value its faithful flock and they have lost a high number of people who have turned atheist, agnostic and even the number of priests have turned to an all time low in that country.
A leading order of Catholic nuns, which ran one of the most notorious industrial schools in Ireland, offered £116million to compensate child abuse victims. The Sisters of Mercy will hand over £18million in cash, plus almost £100million in property, to charities and the government. The order was exposed along with 17 others for imposing physically and psychologically abusive regimes at the Dublin-based school. Thousands of children passed through the institutions over the decades. (23)
The Papacy pretends it stands for sexual purity and openly lambasts the sinful, abominable act of sodomy, better known today as homosexuality. What the public does not see, is that a high number of the Pope’ foot soldiers are openly practicing homosexuals and her own publications tells us of ‘the filthiness of her fornication.’
In its 21-page document, approved by Pope Paul, the Vatican advocated a more tolerant attitude towards homosexuals but harshly denounced homosexual conduct. The document, entitled a ‘Declaration of Certain Questions Concerning Sexual Ethics, was published by the Vatican’s Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (formerly the Holy Office), the highest authority after the Pope on questions of doctrine. Referring to a letter of Pope Leo IX written in 1054, the declaration stated that ‘homosexuals must certainly treated with understanding and sustained in the hope of overcoming their personal difficulties and their inability to fit into society. The culpability will be judged with prudence.’ It continued: ‘But no pastoral method can be employed which would give mortal justification to these acts on the ground that they would be consonant with the condition of such people. For according to the objective moral order, homosexual relations are acts which lack an essential and indispensable moral order. (24)
Tim Unsworth notes in The Last Priests in America, “Denial and secrecy are still the commonplace defenses to most sexual problems among priests, especially for homosexual priests.” Sociologist James G. Wolf in his book Gay Priests concluded that 48.5 percent of priests and 55.1 percent of seminarians were gay. The percentage appears to be highest among priests under forty years of age. Moreover, the percentage of gay men among religious congregations of priests is believed to be higher. (25)
The Vatican gave its blessing to new fortnightly “gay-friendly” Catholic Masses in the heart of London, it has emerged. Cardinal William Levada, the Prefect of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith, personally authorised the services in Soho in an attempt to end at St Anne’s Anglican Church in Soho shortly after the death of Cardinal Basil Hume in 1999. Cardinal Murphy-O’Connor said that gays who looked for “a place where they might live in authentic human integrity and holiness of life” would not be ignored. (26)
These are some of the sexual sins that the Papacy keeps on the down low. As it falls in an even more immoral decline of depravity and as we get closer to the end of time, the apocalyptic cry, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, is going to be ever more prevalent and her distance from God will make her more openly in league with Satan who the pope and his priests, cardinal, monks and high dignitaries represent.
For a village where the overwhelmingly majority have sworn a vow to celibacy there is an unusual preoccupation with sexual matters. Homosexuality, if not rife within the Vatican, is constantly evident, and is a frequent factor in career advancement. Satanic masses have happened regularly with hooded semi-naked participants and porn videos have been shown to very selected audiences. (27)

The late Malachi Martin (1921-1999), an ex-Jesuit priest, Catholic theologian and insider into Papal affairs, saw that Satanism was rife within the Papacy and it started to grow under the pontificate of Pope Paul VI in the 1960s.

Many may wonder how will the Papacy get the entire inhabitants of the earth to worship her before Christ returns (Rev. 13:3, 4, 8; 17:8). Those in political and intelligence circles have a picture of how she works and knows that she plans in centuries and is impeccably patient when she wants to achieve her objectives. The Papacy boastfully claims itself as infallible and the only embodiment and epicentre of truth as the prophecy confirms (Rev. 18:7). She has reiterated it time and time again over the centuries and has confirmed it in our day in the encyclical letter Dominus Iesus, complied by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, the present pope, in the year 2000 at the opening of the Millennium.
Though she claims herself infallible, she still has given a red light to all the pagan religions and philosophies around the world no matter how grotesque and animalistic they are, giving Christ a backseat in the plan of redemption and for the restoration of sinful souls. At two interreligious sessions organised by the Papacy at Assisi, Italy, in 1986 and in 2001, all the world religions were convened together, where their were Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox, Muslims, Buddhists, Sikhs, Hindus, Shamans from Native America and Voodoo witch doctors priests from Africa, all praying together for world peace. The Papacy obviously led out in this, and even in the Vampire film Van Helsing (2004), she is portrayed as leading all the world’ major religions in its fight against evil. As paganism is etched in every crevice of the Papacy, from the laities clothing to the design of each church edifice as previously mentioned, it will not be surprising that, in 2008, the former ‘leader of the Roman Catholics in England and Wales has urged the faithful to treat atheists and agnostics with ‘deep esteem’. Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor, the Archbishop of Westminster, said believers should recognise the ‘hidden God’ was active in the lives of non-believers.’ (29) A Jesuit priest, William Johnston a number of years previous to that, also verifies this and documents it in his book ‘The Mirror Mind’, where he confirms how the Papacy planned a powerful, subtle, deceptive strategy of winning over all belief systems to her, at her famous session at the height of the hippies movement, known as ‘The Second Ecumenical Council of the Vatican’, better known as Vatican II (1962-1965).

‘Tielhard prophesied the phenomenon central to this book: a conspiracy of men and women whose new perspective would trigger a critical contagion of change. After a visit to the United States in 1931, Pierre Tielhard de Chardin sailed back to China from the San Francisco Bay. En route the Jesuit palaeontologist framed an essay, ‘The Spirit of the Earth’, inspired by his growing convictions that a ‘conspiracy of individuals from every layer of American society was engaged in an effort to raise to a new stage the edifice of life’. Tielhard was the individual most often named as a profound influence by the Aquarian Conspirators who responded to a survey.’ (31)

Q. Who created the Big Bang "theory"?
One of the strongest influences the Papacy has over the thinking of mankind is in the origins of the universe. Many people embrace the unscientific cosmological view called the ‘Big Bang’, but most are unaware who created it. It was Monsignor Georges Lemaître (1894-1966), a Belgium, Jesuit-educated priest, who created this idea of the origins of the universe. The opening scenes of the film Angels and Demons (2009), starts off with a Catholic priest, Father Silvano Bentivoglio, overseeing the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) which was an actual experiment in real life, where top scientists were working on a project to recreate the Big Bang. What is overlooked is that the film encourages the viewers to look to the Catholic Church for salvation from the illuminati.
In 2008 over 9,000 scientists from Europe, India, Russia, Japan, Israel and Turkey were foolishly working on a project that cost $8 billion to dig a 27-kilometre tunnel, to re-create what they called the 'God Particle', which was a failed attempt to prove the big bang 'theory'. What an absolute waste of money.
In 2010, two years later top scientists tried to do the same thing over again in Switzerland which cost $4 billion. How true when the Lord says 'the wisdom of this world is foollishness with God' (I Cor. 3:19)
Neil deGrasse Tyson, is an African-American agnostic and Astrophysicist, who is the most influential and outspoken defender of the Papal Big Bang "theory". The Papacy who works ever so subtly and carefully in this post-modern climate has embraced a scientific view which cleverly does not deny neither science or the Bible. It is called 'theistic evolution'. It embraces the overall message of the Bible, but does not accept that the first three chapters of Genesis should be taken literally, but is figurative and they believe that God did create the world, but by an evolutionary process. To reject the literal language of Genesis 1-3, is a denial of the creation, the fall and the coming redeemer, which shows that the foundation of Catholicism is not on Jesus the rock (Matth. 7:24; I Cor. 3:11-13), but on humanistic pagan philosophy. When Jesus declared that the institution of marriage was introduced at the beginning of time was it all figurative (Mark 10:6-9) and when Paul pleaded with the Church to not fall into the same trap as Eve did, was he speaking figuratively or literally. Why does the Holy Scriptures call all human beings no matter what ethnicity they are 'sons of Adam' (Deut. 32:8) and why is Jesus called the second or 'last Adam' (I Cor. 15:45) if the first chapter is not literal.
Men have spent over 150 years combing the earth, going through huge colossus graveyards and have found no missing links. There is still not a shred of evidence to prove the naturalists approach to science with their "theory" of evolution, where even Charles Darwin himself documented in his book 'The Origin of Species' (1859) that there is no evidence to verify what he has said and cosmologists still fail to tell us what actually caused the big bang, or how it happened, when it happened and what changed into what. These quotes are also verified in two conspiracy theory publications, Behold a Pale Horse by the late William Blum (1943-2001) and The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. These are some of the ways the Papacy will be successful in seducing the vulnerability of mankind to worship her, ‘after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders’ (II Thess. 2:9). The second and third angels’ message of Revelation 14:8-11 predicts her spiritual decline and gives a last solemn warning to the entire inhabitants of the earth to not accept the mark of the Papal beast.
1. The cry, “Come out of her, my people,” is made after the announcement that she has fallen. Rev. 18:2, 4. It is therefore evident that Babylon exists after her fall, and that the people of God are still in her midst; therefore her fall must be distinct from her destruction.
2. When it is said, “Come out of her, my people,” it is added as a reason, “that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Her fall had taken place; but she still existed to sin against God, and her plagues were yet future; therefore her fall and her destruction were events entirely distinct.
3. When her plagues are named in verse 8, they are said to be the death, mourning, and famine, and utter destruction by fire. Her plagues were yet future at the time of her fall; consequently her fall is not her destruction by fire. Between those two events the people of God make their escape from her.
The nature of the reasons assigned for the fall of Babylon proves that it is a moral fall; for it is because she has made the nations drunk with her wine. In other words, it is her wickedness that has caused God to reject her. We understand that the fall of Babylon is her rejection by God, that the Holy Spirit leaves her in consequence of her alienation from God and her union with the world, and that thus she is left to the spirit of devils. As an illustration, we will refer to the fall of the Jewish Church, the harlot of Eze. 16. This fall is distinctly stated in Rom. 11. Its particulars may be gathered from Matt. 21:43; 23; 12:43-45. The prophecy has given us the solemn warning of the greatest obstacle to Jesus’ faithful all around the world. Only one group of people will not compromise when the solemn warnings in Revelation 14 are preached worldwide. It will not be a denomination, but people who make a bold stand against the world. Speaking against the Papacy, especially the Pope, will receive very strong opposition. He is a global celebrity whose fortress in Vatican City is visited by nearly every political figure on earth. He is supported by nearly every Western mainstream corporate controlled media network and his Easter and Christmas Mass services are aired every year on Britain’ BBC and the U.S.’ CNN. He has immense global support for his pontificate as Rev. 17:2 prophetically foretold. When Irish musician Sinead O’Connor tore up a picture of the late Pope John Paul II in 1992 at the height of her music career, opposing his pro-abortion stance, her popularity instantly plummeted and she eventually apologised five years later. This is just one example of how she can bully nearly anyone into submission who opposes her. If we are to fully understand how this system will operate, we need to see the gradual build up, between now and the mark of the beast. This is not to say we should in any way fear her, but make sure that your life is surrendered to Christ when you expose her, for the backlash could be thunderous. Recent research has shown that most modern day Protestant churches and ministers no longer preach against her and those who do, usually recant under her invisible pressure, but despite her global support she will be openly exposed just prior to the glorious Second Coming of Jesus Christ, just as the prophecy forewarns (Rev. 14:6-20; 18:1-4; Luke 12:2).

· 2005: A magazine publisher has been fined £3,500 for mocking Pope John Paul II. A court in Warsaw ruled that Jerzy Urban, editor-in-chief of NO magazine, insulted the Pontiff when he wrote a piece making fun of his age and frailty. He described the Pope as an ‘impotent old man’ and ‘the Brezhnev of the Vatican’ – a reference to the 1970s Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev. Urban, 71, insisted he was exercising the right to free expression. Prosecutors claimed he violated a law that bans insulting heads of state. (46)
· 2007: The Vatican has redefined “terrorism.” The label, which typically refers to the use of violence or threats of violence in order to intimidate or coerce others, has been pinned on some anti-pope comments made by an Italian comedian, according to the Vatican’s official newspaper. In a strongly worded editorial, L’Osservatore Romano wrote, “It’s terrorism to stoke blind and irrational rage against someone who always speaks in the name of love for man” (May 2). Though seemingly a small matter, the Vatican’s statement gives a glimpse at the type of thing coming for those who oppose the Roman Catholic Church in the future. (47)
There are still a few secular scholars who are aware that the Pope is not just a religious figure who wears costly medieval attire and makes random visits all around the world. They are clued up and are totally aware that he is an influential political figure, whose trips to different countries are all absolutely political in nature and that he is a very, very dangerous foe to the liberties of mankind. If people are not aware of what his true agenda is and if the civil power he requires is ever handed over to him and his government as in medieval times, then freedom as we know it today will be forever gone. An English lecturer, the late Fred Halliday (1946-2010), who was the former Professor of International Relations at the London School of Economics (1985-2008), is aware of this and he documented it in the atheist journal the New Humanist, where he unveils the unreported media hype of the pope’ true agenda during Pope Benedict XVI’ controversial statements in 2006 about Islam, that was deliberately done to stir a political minefield in the already agitated Islamic world.

The disadvantage secular scholars have, is that though they can carefully assess the Papacy’ role through a secular microscope, they are limited in identifying the whole system and its global agenda fully, which can only be done by the word of God with the aid of the Holy Spirit (John 14:26; 16:13, 14). The 19th century British Protestant historian James Aitken Wylie wrote an essay in 1851 called The Papacy that was awarded the first prize by the Evangelical Alliance and turned into a book. The ambition of the popes far outstripped that of the Caesars, and looked down with contempt upon their empire as insignificant and narrow. They aspired to be gods upon the earth. It was the majesty of the Eternal which they plotted to usurp. Pride can go no higher. Ambition finds nothing beyond for which it may point. They reigned with equal power over the minds of the bodies of men. They grasped the reins of secular as well as of ecclesiastical jurisdiction. They made their opinions the standard of morals, and their wills the standard of law, to the universe. They claimed not merely to be obeyed, but be worshipped. They were not monarchs but divinities. Popery was exceedingly fortunate in the choice of a seat, when it selected Rome. The possession of such a great spot was almost essential to it. It was itself a tower of strength. In no other spot of earth could its gigantic schemes of dominion be formed, or, if formed, realized. Popery is but the religion of human nature. Popery is the principal or error which may be defined to be salvation of man, in opposition to the truth of the gospel, which may be defined salvation of God. It has its mediators, - saints and angels, and especially the Virgin; and thus it blasphemes the one Mediator between God and man. It robs Christ of his kingly office, by exalting the Pope to his throne; it robs him of his priesthood in the sacrifice of the mass; it robs him of his power as Mediator, by substituting Mary; it robs him of his prophetical office, by substituting the teachings of an infallible Church; it robs God the Spirit of his peculiar work as the sanctifier, by attributing the power of conferring grace to his own ordinances; and it robs God the Father of his prerogatives by assuming the power of justifying and pardoning men.
Never will the Papacy feel that it is in its proper place, or that it is in a position to carry out fully its peculiar mission, till, seated in absolute and unapproachable power upon the Seven Hills, it look down upon the kings of Europe as its vassals, and be worshipped by the nation as a God. If the Church of Rome is to maintain herself, she must take higher ground than she has done since the Reformation. She has the alternative of either becoming the head of Europe, or of being swept out of existence. These two tremendous forces, - Democracy and Catholicism, - poise one another; and neither can reign so long as both exist. But who can tell how soon the equilibrium may be destroyed? Should the balance preponderate in favour of the Catholic element, - should Popery succeed in bringing over from the infidel and democratic camp a sufficient number of converts to enable her to crush her antagonist, - the supremacy is again in her hands. With Democracy collapsed, with the State exhausted and owing its salvation to the Church, and with a priesthood burning to avenge the disasters and humiliation of three centuries, wo to Europe! – the darkest page of its history would yet to be written. The objects of the Roman Catholic Church extend far beyond the limits of her ancient domain, - the Roman world. Her circle of operations encompasses the globe. In order that it may exist, it must reign. We may therefore expect to witness some combined and vigorous attempt on the part of Popery to recover its dominion. It has studied the genius of every people; it has fathomed the policy of every government; it knows the principle of every sect, and school, and club, - the sentiments and feelings of almost every individual; and with its usual tact and ability, it is attempting to control and harmonize all these various and conflicting elements, so as to work out its own ends. Why would Jesus go through all this trouble to warn His people of this dark, demonic system? Why would He give such an in depth and intricate account of Rome’s subtle craftiness and its meddling in world affairs? It shows that He has a deep love and care for His flock worldwide and does not want any of them to be lost, ‘not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance’ (II Pet. 3:9) and that all of them are spiritually trained (Eph. 6:10-18) to combat the many deceptions in this evil world in these last days, to prepare them for eternity. Jesus is looking for a faithful people who will not compromise His holy truths for earthly gain and to finish the work of telling a dark, confused world about this system. Only those who are spiritually grounded, who ‘loved not their lives unto the death’ (Rev. 12:11), will Christ commit the charge of exposing this dark, deceptive, Ecclesiastical Megalomania. Are you willing to be a part of that heavenly militia, whose only offensive and defensive weapon will be the inspired word of God? We have nothing to fear if we commit ourselves to the divine duty that God has entrusted to us, for as the uncompromising prophet Elisha, boldly declared when the Syrian army was pursuing him to destroy him for revealing military secrets to the king of Israel:
And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
